How to Play
Intro
Puzzle Planet lets you and your friends collaboratively solve jigsaw puzzles on a virtual tour of the world. Work together at the same time or individually; the puzzle is always available. When you finish the first puzzle, anyone on the tour can immediately start a new one!
Only one player on the tour needs a subscription. Everyone else can play for free!
Main Menu Controls
The main menu shows you the tours you've created, as well as the tours you've been invited on. When you're playing a puzzle, click the Home button to return to the main menu.
Creating a Puzzle Tour
From the home screen, create a new tour. A tour is where your selected puzzle and your progress on all the puzzles are saved.
Inviting Your Friends
You can invite others to join you at the beginning of a tour or midway through—you're the navigator! Each player you invite will have a unique link to join the tour and build puzzles.
Account Management
Click the Account Settings button in the top right corner of the main menu to manage your account and change your password or username.
Puzzle Controls
To move a puzzle piece, simply drag it around the board using your mouse or touch screen. You can also pan and zoom. When you correctly connect two puzzle pieces, they will lock.
You can connect pieces anywhere on the board—inside or outside the rectangle puzzle outline. It's fine to group pieces into sections around the board while you figure out where pieces fit. When you're ready, drag completed sections inside the puzzle outline.
When pieces are in the correct location in the puzzle, they cannot be moved.
Home
Click the Home button to return to the home screen.
Browsing Puzzles
Click the Browse button to browse or search through the library of 1,000 puzzles (and more to come!). You can filter by location, photographer, and category.
Help
Click the Help button to access the help page.
Preview
While you're putting together a puzzle, click the Preview button to see what it will look like when it's completed. Click the button again to hide the preview.
Hiding Pieces
Use Hide to hide pieces in the puzzle that are solved. This is useful if you accidentally cover up a piece in the puzzle that was not in the right location!
Changing Puzzle Difficulty
Adjust the difficulty of the puzzle from the Settings menu. This will reset the puzzle for everyone in the tour.
Resetting a Puzzle
Reset returns all pieces to the outside of the puzzle outline. This will reset the puzzle for everyone in the tour.
Managing the Players and Invites
As the host of the tour, you can manage the players and invites. Open the players panel to see who is in the tour, pending invites, and recent activity. Hosts can remove players, revoke invites, or generate a new invite link if needed.
Sweeping Pieces
Use Sweep to gather scattered pieces around the puzzle outline or off to one side. This helps declutter the board and makes collaboration easier. Sweep affects the shared view for everyone.
Settings
The settings menu lets you adjust the background color and shade for the puzzle, making it easier to see the puzzle. You can also adjust trackpad sensitivity.

See the latest updates to Puzzle Planet in the newsfeed, and submit your feedback or ideas for new features.
Chat
Use the Chat button to communicate with other players in the tour. You can use the chat to coordinate your moves, share tips, or just chat about the puzzles. The chat is private to the tour; your chat messages are encrypted and deleted after 30 days.
